Kevin Chan has once again arranged for his instructor, Roger Gracie’s father and 7th degree Red & Black Belt Mauricio Motta Gomes to come down for another Kamon BJJ seminar.

The seminar will be on Friday the 1st of July at the Priory School, 6pm – 9pm
Cost to Kamon members will be £35, for non members £40. Gi’s should be worn.

Portsmouth Dragon Boat Festival 2011

We’re getting a Kamon Bjj team together for this year’s Portsmouth Dragon Boat Festival in Portsmouth.

The races will be on Sunday the 22nd of May, from 9am to 4pm. The costs of entering is £22 pounds each and all proceeds go to the Rowans Hospice.

We have already secured the team place so now we need 16 people plus one for the drummer. This is open to all Kamon BJJ members on a first come first served basis if you are interested get see Alex on a Thursday night to secure your place.

Isle of Wight No Gi Seminar

Kevin Chan will be going to the Shanklin Youth & Community Centre on the Isle of Wight to teach a 3 hour BJJ seminar on Saturday the 18th of September. The seminar will start at 11:30am at a cost of £30 for club members and £35 for non members.

No Gi British Open 2010

The No Gi British Open 2010 will be held on Sunday the 26th September at Wolverhampton University. Price for adult fighters will be £30 and the closing date will be on Friday the 17th September.

The No Gi British Open is back again! Following on from last year’s successful inaugural event and the recent BJJ British Open sister event, we are proud once again to be hosting Britain’s largest event of its kind. We very much look forward to seeing you all and thank you once again for your support in helping the British Grappling community grow.

Cobrinha Seminars

The guys at Champ Camp have invited Rubens ‘Cobrinha’ Charles over to the UK for a series of seminars later this month. There will be three seminars, one in Manchester, the midlands and in London on the 28th, 29th and 30th of August respectively.

Workshop & Photo Session

On the 3rd of July from 3pm to 6pm we’ll be holding a workshop and photo session for all Kamon BJJ members.

The session will be held at the Priory School and will cost £10.

Please wear white gis with the Kamon patches and also bring along rash guard and shorts for some no-gi sparring.

British Open – 27th & 28th March

The highly anticipated BJJ British Open is once again expected to be the largest domestic Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament of the year! It is now back with a two day event held in Birmingham, once again.
Competitors from all over Europe and the best talent from the UK are set to compete.
